Wild Swimming

I do a lot of wild swimming, but always seem to travel a good distance from Bath. Warleigh Weir and Farleigh Hungerford are the only places I know and not great for swimming in winter. Ideas?

I usually spend much time in the Avon at Saltford. It was thirty years ago so I would say its a little cleaner now.
If you're really brave, the railway bridge (bike path) makes a great diving board, but to check the depth of the water, things can change.
