The Kruger National Park is home to many fierce lion herds of wild elephants and thousands of other animals and offers small birds. From elusive leopard spots in Sabi Sands watching lion pride enjoy a meal in the Mala Mala, this national park is a fairy tale race. The city of the sun and the Garden Route are two attractions that you can afford to miss. Garden Route is a natural theme park that is home to dolphins and whales, and if you're lucky enough, you could find yourself with a bead of your choice.

Types of projects available

As part of volunteering in South Africa, you have to choose the type of project you are interested in whether different types of projects available:

aec Wild Coast Conservation Project Wildlife: This is a project of nature, which bring out the best in you. As part of volunteering in South Africa, you will be surrounded by beautiful coastline and spectacular wilderness that stretches from Durban to East London. Located in the homeland of Transkei, it has some dramatic coastline and including work at base camp and on the ground. The age requirement for this project is between 18-40 years. As part of volunteering in South Africa, you have different opportunities to work with wild animals under this project. You will have the opportunity to learn about cats in South Africa and other large animals during your stay. The various activities that you will be involved through volunteer work in South Africa include:

1. The patrols of the fence and looking for abduction and traps and any other threat to wildlife. Also assist in the management of closing and maintenance.

2. Helping to eliminate exotic vegetation and help control soil erosion

3. wildlife research and monitoring of their activity

4. Interacting with people and other monitoring of elephant

aec Wildlife Research and Rehabilitation: As part of volunteering in South Africa, you will handle various research activities of wildlife. You will assist field supervisors in the following areas:

1. Capture of wild animals for neck labels and release them into the wild.

2. Noting the complexity of procedures carried out wild animals particularly if they are injured

3. Horse Grooming

4. Rehabilitation works on various animals
including lions and cheetahs

5. Learn the coastal systems, as well as ecology and develop an understand.
