How many calories is this salad? The place I get my salad (Wild Greens in New York) do not have nutritional information on salads. I wondered how many calories and fat than I eat. Here is what I put into it:
Small bowl of romaine lettuce
red onion
grated carrots
sundried tomatoes
Grilled Chicken
crouton
Low fat caesar dressing
Can anyone make a guess?
Thank you!
Its kind of hard to say without amounts, ...
carrots, lettuce, red onion, are all considered to contain negative calories, AKA they burn more calories than they add ... So you do not have to worry about them.
Dried tomatoes I think it will be quite minimal, I know that the tomato is also a food calorie negative, but as they are dried in the sun, I think they are usually kept in an oil well? So that could add 10-15 Caloia.
Grilled chicken, depends on what they add to it and how it is prepared. If there is no seasoning or maranade it will be a little more. Again, depends on how much, but I would say no more than 100-150 calories as
Croutons, depends also how they are prepared, fried, baked, roasted, dried ... Perhaps Caloire 40-50.
Low fat cesar dressing (I think ...) about 50 calories per tablespoon
Fat is not much, just whats in the chicken, perhaps tomato and croutons, and Caesar .. I am sure he will not be well if only a couple grams.
