What is the best German sausage for you? Beerwurst, Bockwurst, Bratwurst, Bregenwurst, Gelbwurst, Jagdwurst, knackwurst, liverwurst, Mettwurst, Teewurst, weisswurst, or .........
ummmmmm, I'm German, but I've never heard of Bregenwurst.
I think we should distinguish between
a) real sausages such as sausages, Frankfurt and currywurst typically ranging as a meal with fries, mashed potatoes and these
and
b) Wurst (sausage translate as well) which is either spread (such as liver sausage) or set (as gelbwurst) bread.
Personally, I like currywurst when it comes to meals and gelbwurst much as something to put on a slice of bread is concerned.
liverwurst, but he has good taste in general very fat and very bad for your cholesterol.

My family is German, and I love bratwurst, but you know what? I love the fresh sausages Hungarian Spaetzle or German recipes like pancakes with apples, potatoes or Kugel.
It is hard to find ..... Wow ... I miss that.

I love liverwurst he is good on crackers, or spread thickly on a piece of rye bread or pumpernickel with a good German beer to wash down.
Bratwurst. We like Bratwurst.
We include them in the mixed grill when we're grilling kielbasa, sausages and steaks. Sometimes, when I find a local hot sausage that I include as well.
I lived in Mexico City for some time and there was this really good German butcher and deli known as Fritz, he makes the best sausages I only know that chubli, like a Polish sausage, but with its unique taste only.
I guess bratwurst
We can not go wrong with Leberwurst here in the States. Although I have not found a good bratwurst since I moved here in Germany. I like to do a bit of blood and tongue sausage from time to time, reminds me of home.
Once back in Germany for Vitit I endulge on knackwurst, Leberkaese, Gruetzwurst, Bierschinken, etc. Stuff I can not get here.
