Vegan WaresThe secret is in the sauce - Taste food materials A Trick of the head

My name is Jennifer Cornbleet, but sometimes when I'm cooking, my alter-ego - "Saucy Susan - takes over. You see, I like what sauces do to the flavor and texture of a recipe, and I'm always looking for ways to sauce up a meal or snack.

The problem is that I do not like what the ingredients in traditional sauces do to my waistline or my arteries. Therefore it was important for me to re-imagine the two sauces in cookery books of my own, Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 people and raw materials for dessert.

You might wonder what kind of sauce recipes would be appropriate for a cookbook of desserts. Food sauce gross receipts, as their traditional counterparts, can be sweet or salty. Some of my favorite sauces to serve raw food "coronation" of ice cream sundaes.

In this article, I would like to invite everyone to "get sauce" the healthy way ... with some delicious sauce recipes raw food you can brew in no time.

This sauce, Silly

Do you know where good taste is in a dish? It's true! In the sauce. After all, not just fettuccine until you tablespoon Alfredo sauce? Is not that a vegetable spring roll just "bunny food" until you give it a new personality on a swing spicy, tasty peanut sauce Thai style?

Imagine ice cream without sugar and cream sauce. Or think that a certain fast food giant would be today if it served two blocks of beef, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions on a sesame seed without "special sauce?.

It is easy to see that for more flavor in every bite, the secret is in the sauce. What is less is easy to see that the ingredients used Typical sauces - such as butter, cream, corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, refined sugars, etc. - are not healthy.

For example, there are 850 calories in a serving of fettuccine Alfredo Olive Garden and 432 of those calories from fat. As for the Big Mac, it has about 560 calories ... with nearly 100 of them from the sauce which is made from salad dressing, pickles, and sugar.

dessert sauces are the main culprits when it comes to sneaking in fat and calories. A two tablespoon serving of commercial hot fudge sauce made by Smuckers, for example, has 4.5 grams of fat and 18 grams of sugar. This does not seem so bad if you can limit yourself to two tablespoons ... but I know I can not!

There are other problems with traditional sauces, too, that occur because of processed foods used in their manufacture. The recent problem of peanut butter commercial emphasizes the use of healthy ingredients that come directly from your garden ... or your local farmer.

That's the theory behind the movement of raw foods: using fresh, local ingredients to make delicious meals and snacks. So I found ways to make Alfredo without the cream ... peanut sauce without the treatment ... and lip-smacking dessert sauces without a hint of refined sugar.

Care to join me for a dip in the sauces?

Sauce Recipe Ideas raw food

Raw foods are sauces (you've heard this before) delicious and nutritious. For example, my first recipe for Fettuccine Alfredo dresses food zucchini ribbons of translucent pale green with a sauce made with cashews soaked and tasty spice mix. Believe me, you will not miss the cream or butter (or fat and calories).

If you like green sauces instead of white, try my raw food pesto. Like the original, my recipes call for basil, olive oil, garlic, salt and pine nuts. The only difference is that the gears are first instead of roast.

One of my favorite raw food recipes sauces is t.
