Portland is the largest city in Oregon and has a population of people rather eclectic. People who live in Portland love their city and while they encourage tourists to visit but not stay. Portland is a city dedicated to making life easy and fun for people who live there. The city itself is clean and the city's motto is "Keep Portland weird." If you're planning a trip to Portland, here are some places you must visit:


1. Powell's Books. The flagship store is located at the corner of 10th Avenue and Burnside. This company is totally independent and if it is possible to shop in Powell on the Internet, the only physical locations for Powell are in the Portland metropolitan area. The store offers both new and used books side, which is side on the shelves. This is not a store that sold to corporate merchandising. Instead, Powell started as a small independent bookstore decades ago and his commitment to independence has helped him become one of the bright jewels of Portland! If you want to read it, you'll find on the shelves of Powell.


2. Voodoo Doughnuts. This tiny donut can be easily adopted. It is literally through a hole in the wall 3 and Burnside. The owners of this jewel of twenty-four hours of Portland began their workshop to feed people stumbling out of bars that surround it. Initially open only for dinner, the owners now keep their doors open twenty-four hours and we have recently opened a second office in Southeast Portland. The variety of donuts is vast and varied, do you want your bacon maple bar? You can get it here even with donuts and vegan donuts covered with Fruit Loops!


3. Hot Lips Pizza. Hot Lips Pizza is now open a fifth location next to PGE Park. This independent and locally owned company is famous for its pizza pepperoni pizza. People will drive from hours away just to get a slice of pepperoni and a baguette. All ingredients are locally grown and branch and the pizza is there in front of you! This is not reheated pizza is fresh, all day!
