Eating Vegan? So, I eat mostly vegan but lately I wonder, I get adequate amounts of protein. I eat corn mixed with black beans or something like that. I'm really afraid of my hair loss. I take biotin and vitamin supplements, but I fear that may not be sufficient. I k now I can be spazzing on my hair, but is very important to me. Oh yeah, I do not eat rice. Any suggestions would be very useful.
Here's a great article by Dr. John McDougall on sources of Veggie Protien.

Chic peas and lentils are a very good source of protein, while nuts and seeds.
Besides being a great source of protein legumes, nuts and seeds are rich in essential fatty acids in them that are great for hair, skin and nails.
I do not eat soy or tofu is and I am very strict vegetarian. "I get a protein supplement by eating chopped mushrooms, marinated or a handful of nuts.
I knew a girl who was on a diet of wild and roughly only ate chicken and fish and lettuce with lemon and her hair began to fall. It became enough protein. She received no oil! They made him eat a handful of almonds a day.
Sure, you get b-12 (Red Star Yeast vegetarian nutritional support is the best, easiest and tasty option) and do not worry about protein. Instead make sure you get enough calories.
All vegetables have protein! Not only beans. So you do not have to eat beans every day.
Check http://nutritiondata. com and check some of the foods you eat for their protein content.

So you think about your hair being vegan? Your hair falls out, but the main thing is that you do your part for all these helpless cows and beef cattle. Your hair is a small sacrifice.
Yes your hair needs a lot of protein and sure if you ate about two ounces twice a week he would not fall, but it's meat and you are vegan. Be proud, be strong and repeat every morning in the mirror - "Bald is Beautiful".
