Chicken pox used to be one of many contagious diseases that were almost rites of passage from childhood. Since vaccination against chickenpox of the newborn has become the norm in the mid-1990s, most children have not suffered like their parents about the intensity of itching, watery blisters, fever and body aches that are Brand chickenpox. But this does not mean that the disease is no longer a concern.

Even children can still vaccinated against chickenpox contract, but with much milder symptoms. In fact, some cases may be so mild they go unnoticed or are misdiagnosed.

When teenagers and adults who have not vaccinated escaped contracting the varicella-zoster in childhood did not obtain, it is usually more severe. Complications of chickenpox are rare, but they do occur, especially in older patients and those with weakened immune systems. They can include pneumonia and encephalitis (brain inflammation). Pregnant women and their fetuses are particularly vulnerable to complications of chickenpox. It is important to communicate with health professional if there are questions about the varicella or complications.

Anyone who has been exposed to chickenpox may develop shingles (herpes zoster), a painful and sometimes itchy rash later. Scientists have differing opinions about whether a population is largely immunized actually prevent or contribute to more cases of shingles.

It is thought that adults who had chickenpox as a child growing stronger immunity against shingles occasionally when they are exposed to the virus during the presence of infected children. With at least sixty per cent of children getting vaccinated now, some researchers believe that this lack of exposure to infected children is causing increasing cases of shingles, while others argue that fewer cases of chickenpox can result in fewer cases of shingles in most of the population.

But still, every time, or how severely varicella, one fact is indisputable: the itching blisters. The doctor may prescribe antihistamines to control itching, and fortunately there are many natural remedies can be used to relieve itching and other symptoms of a case of chickenpox can bring.
tea tree oil, calamine lotion, honey, calendula, ground turmeric, lavender oil and aloe vera gel can be applied directly to the blisters to relieve the itching. Refrigeration before applying topical treatments may make them particularly soothing.

Others find relief soak in a bath of warm water to which natural ingredients have been added. Oatmeal is often recommended for skin problems. It is more effective when the oats are ground to a fine consistency. This allows them to mix with water and adhere to the skin better. In addition, the oats can be linked to a muslin or cheesecloth bag and allowed to soak in the bath water or held under running water.

Other tonic water bath green beans - water in which the peas were cooked - and additives, including herbs such as wort, yarrow, and peppermint to name a few- each.

More help is available in the form of teas such as chamomile, basil, and marigold. Agrimony, burdock and catnip can help reduce fever.

Although not everyone will suffer from a severe case of chickenpox, there are natural remedies available for those who are in a situation that itch!
