Passover Baking

Posted on March 14, 2010.
Passover BakingWhy is it kosher for Passover baking powder and baking soda?

Is not this whole issue of food Passover there would be no leaven? Is not baking powder and baking soda yeast?

The P K for baking powder does not contain cornstarch, baking powder, which contains regular.

In biblical terms, the fermentation process required a fermentaition, which is made with yeast. Baking powder does not use a fermentation process, it is a chemical process, and not prohibited.

Some people feel torn about using the P K for baking powder, and it is difficult to find. I have a very old recipe that I use every year it needs. I really saw that in some recipes published. I guess this is because it is almost impossible to get your hands unless you live near a store with a very rich section of K P.

good point .......... guess everyone is changing the rules to modernize.
