Kosher Istanbul

Kosher IstanbulCan you give me good addresses of hotels and restaurants in Istanbul and Izmir process food kosher?

There are more kosher dietary laws that the absence of pork. Kosher also dictates that meat and milk can not be combined (thus prohibiting almost anything with cheese and yogurt, as many Turkish dishes that seem at first sight vegetarian, for example, pilav, lentil soup, Fasulye are made with beef or chicken broth), and shellfish. Kokoreas is also a no-go for those who keep kosher.

kosher slaughtering standards are more stringent than those for halal, so keep that in mind.

In addition, the kitchen utensils that have touched shellfish, pork or kokoreas can not be used in kosher cooking, and dishes / utensils for handling meat or dairy products must be kept separate - I doubt many Turkish restaurants do, given the national love of things dipped in yogurt.

The only officially kosher restaurant in Istanbul, as I know, Carne, is quite delicious. Here are the contacts:

Afiyet olsun :-)

Hi Moshe!

I know these are the main rules of Kohere:
Some animals do not eat at all. This restriction includes the flesh, organs, eggs and milk of animals prohibited.
-Among the animals that can be consumed, birds and mammals must be slaughtered according to Jewish law.
-The blood must be drained from the meat grilled or outside of it before it is eaten.
Certain parts of permitted animals may not be eaten.
-Fruits and vegetables are allowed, but must be inspected for bugs
At the meat (flesh of birds and mammals) can not be eaten with dairy. Fish, eggs, fruit, vegetables and grains can be eaten with meat or dairy products. (According to some views, fish do not eat meat).
-Utensils that have come into contact with meat can be used with dairy, and vice versa. Utensils that have come into contact with non-kosher food can be used with kosher food. This applies only when the contact occurred while the food was hot.
grape products made by non-Jews can not be eaten. There few rules that are not universally

Most of these rules is accepted by Muslims as well, so we do not eat pork as the Jewish! Do not be afraid of that.

This means that all restaurants and hotels are suitable for you to have dinner in restaurants in lux Turkey.Only pork is served, but to as "pork" no worries ...

I have no information of depth to kosher rules. But as far as I know kosher observers do not eat meat with milk derivatives and have a special way of slaughter. Muslim way of slaughter may also fit in these conditions. Because our butchers also wait until all the blood out. I have heard (and seen) many observers eat kosher food and Muslim Muslims prefer kosher food on airplanes. But we have some types of yogurt with kebap. Kebap If you ask the waiter not to serve it with yogurt. This last point is if you are in a place where you do not need to ask for food if it has pork. But attention to hotels and international restaurants.
