I want to cook Italian sausage for sandwiches in the oven. How long and at what temperature? I want to put them in a glass dish with marinara sauce and cook in the oven this way. They are the great men that are used for sandwiches, not as links breakfast.
Preheat oven to 350 F. The sausage should reach an internal temperature of 155 F to be safe. It should take 10-20 minutes.
This question is very difficult to give a specific time. The ovens are not the same. The amount of sausage and the type of pan / dish used also play a factor. I have been cooking professionally for many years. I always use a thermometer to check everything. I do not rely on the appointed times.
If they are cooked, all you need to do is to get them hot. When the sauce bubbles, they must be made.
If they are not cooked, I would like to return first on the stove to get some of the grease, then put them in the oven.
Sounds like a good idea for lunch.
200 degrees for 20-25 minutes, internal temperature of 145 deg. sausages tend to dry out easily, so I try to cook as slowly as possible.
