Allergic Italian ham (like prosciutto and Parma)? Every time I eat prosciutto or Parma ham I get a really intense pain "in-between" the two halves of my rib cage. I know it is not indigestion or heartburn, because it is "the wrong kind of pain." It seems quite a random thing for my body cry out about the scandal: "I was just wondering if it is fairly common, etc.?
(Obv. I do not eat this type of ham more!)
Maybe acid reflux

But I agree, could be food intolerance.
This is probably a food intolerance. When you eat any pork products, it is best to chew it before swallowing, and eat some apple sauce or a glass of apple with it.
Apple promotes digestion and neutralizes the effect of repetition of pork.
