I had this idea, but it is certainly me laugh! I suppose that since the ads are so stupid that it allows people to remember the brand names and recognize them in stores. TV sound good, what are you waiting for?

Because they are trying to sell food for humans. Cats are those who have to eat 'gourmet' stuff, but humans are those who see the ads and go buy it (hope).

Its all about marketing the product. They are making it attractive to people. kibbles & bits same reason a chunk of bone shape and color, it is aimed at owners, animals do not care about colors and shapes.

They want owners to associate food with love cats. If I love my cat I'm going to buy cat food gourmet research I saw on television. People give their pets human emotions, they are slices of corned beef and think about how much they like similar food, so that their cat as the same thing.

Because they have a low opinion of the intelligence of the general public.

And the general public agreed with them by buying their products!

Because cats are the most fickle eaters on the planet.

Because that's how they get their product to appeal to people especially the rich.

People become more and more pet lovers. Pets are slower to take the place of children and people will do and buy anything for their pet. The best of this announcement, the more delicious, the more they respond to it.

Cats like fish. And if they just showed a bland tuna can people do not want them to be "enough" Kitty to have this done, they buy the gourmet stuff.

Several years ago there was a documentary about pet food, and they visited the factory where some of them was made. The person said a full meal for a cat would be the mouse in a box. However, this does not sell that people refuse to buy it.

There is something to say to you what you pay for, so I would stick with the brands. But the goodies simply make your cat a difficult eater, and then you intend to buy more. They also play on the guilt, which you think your cat deserves better than what you are feeding him.

Cats can be very satisfied as a very limited choice. Mine were still a type of dry food, and they are happy. They are getting a wet food, but very limited, and none would qualify as gourmet.
