My chocolate lab has suddenly started to drink more water much pee at night and not eating - Diabetes? It was never like that - she has lost fur on her tail, she lost weight, we have tried to change his diet to try to attempt it, when she used to eat anything, it is drinking three bowls of water per day when it was enough, and she never had problems with holding her urine - she always let us know when she needed to, and is probably longer than we should leave. Now she does not even let us know she wants to. I know some of them are symptoms of diabetes, but the supply seems to be no different - it could be something else - I hate the idea of forcing her to take insulin every day, and I 'm not sure we can afford.
The symptoms you describe, increased drinking and increased urination are symptoms of a variety of diseases, not just diabetes. Just to name a few: liver disease, kidney disease, a variety of hormonal disorders, behavioral disorders, a variety of diabetes ... Bring your pet to the vet and be prepared to answer some questions like: Is it a large volume of urine more often, or is it small amounts more often? Have you changed his diet? Has it changed its level of activity? Have you traveled recently? I hope you find this useful.
Have it checked for leukemia! Immediately
and not knowing his age this kind of hard to say. I should have checked by a veterinarian.
