Looking for a pecan pie recipe Please for a diabetic? I have a pecan pie for someone I love and appreciate very much.
It is a type 2 diabetic and loves pecan pie. I would like an easy recipe to make one for him, that this will be my first time. as long as it tastes like the real ones. I'm ready to try this for him. Shared revenue will be appreciated.
Thank you and God bless you .... also looking for a cream pie coconut for the same reason ... Thank you again.
Try these.
Search for pecans in an organic grocery chain not as Trader Joes or a local market. Try to find others that are low in sodium, or say "low sodium" on the packaging.
Also, pecan pie are nothing without the sugar! A good alternative to real sweetener such as honey or sugar is Splenda. It is delicious and it works well with diabetes.
For the vanilla extract, imitation vanilla use.
During Thanksgiving, a friend of mine has done some EXCELLENT pecan adding apples disappeared almost old. She soaked in pure orange juice at night and add to the pie. It tasted very good and it could also be an alternative to sugar.
Remember .. for everything from sugar or sodium-based, there is almost always an alternative that is lower in calories and grams of sugar and sodium. Try to search for products that are not "real" ... Most of the time, you can not make a difference in the taste of these two products.
I hope I helped! =)
