Diabetic Food

I studied most major brands of dry food for diabetic dogs (eg, Hill's, Purina, etc.), and those I have seen contain animal by-products. Does anyone know of brands appropriate for dogs with diabetes who use the ingredients of male quality? Otherwise, there homemade dog food recipes you recommend?
