Does anyone know where I can find a sample menu diet 1800 cal.diabetic? Just need a sample menu easy to pass. need something simple for my husband. Perhaps the same could be IBS ...... friendly
I just need a sample menu, it can go by .... continue to seek and obtain information much more ... what is pleasant and helpful, but just want a menu!
several options with your local hospital, they give you a guide sample of people living with diabeties. Even have the list already portioned for serving, and how your choice should be laid on the nutrition plan. or try searching online like this. theres a lot of menu ideas and guides available. http://diet.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Diabetic ...
Read labels on everything you like, measure or weigh food to get the exact number of calories, then create your own menu. However, Carlor is not the main problem is carbohydrates.
There is no menu generic because the amount of carbohydrates a person with diabetes can eat a meal can vary considerably. Some eat very little carbohydrate per meal and some 30-45 carbs per meal (or even more depending on their medications and activity levels, etc..) It is better to work on this issue with your doctor or seek an referral to a nutritionist.
Weight Watchers may be a good option for you and / or your husband. They have an option of low-carb, and the plan is primarily to reduce caloric intake. or consider the Atkins, South Beach or Sugar Busters diets for other low-carbohydrate diets, however, some of them are very restrictive and can be quite high in fat.
