Celiac Restaurants

Celiac RestaurantsAre there good restaurants for those who have celiac disease?

My little brother has celiac disease which means he is allergic to gluten. When we left, he must eat much meat or chicken pure and I am sorry for him and I am putting together a list of restaurants with good food and pizza can also be gluten-free pasta . Thus, it is there good restaurants with good food without gluten in Ottawa, Ontario?

Many national restaurants in the United States have gluten free options. Outback, Carrabba, PF Chang all have gluten free menus. Magiannos even pasta is gluten free. But I do not know if any of these are available in Ottawa. I have celiac disease and eating a lot and my expectation is a grilled chicken Caesar salad dressing after verification if possible. I tend to avoid restaurants Mexican and Chinese, and found that Italian restaurants seem to be more accommodating to find something.

My advice is to call ahead, talk to them and see what they are willing to do so.

Good luck

I have celiac too. I go to many restaurants. I was diagnosed when I was only two years, so I took quite a while. I like going to the Outback, PF Chang, and here is a site that has restaurants that are in your are and gluten-free! Enjoy! http://www.glutenfreeontario.ca/ottawa.htm Flag

If you have a Wendy's fast food in your area, it can eat their salads and a few other things. Go to and click www.wendys.com nutrition menu items in the section. They give you a list of gluten-free items, you can order. I pushed through the United States twice and have eaten several times at Wendy's. Hope that helps!

You must inform you that all the gluten is in. The person recommending Chinese was quite wacky soy sauces have more wheat in them too. Egg Rolls are wrapped in a wheat paste, etc.

I live in Spring, TX A Houston Burb, if I go to a restaurant celiac 100% sure there is one in San Antonio about 4 hours away. There are some channels that are here GF items on their menus. Google your area and see you can get a surprise.
I just luv eating out, even if it may be difficult. Better than I can do on my own Pizza & Pasta at home. There are large Brown Rice Pastas http://www.tinkyada.com/ that taste like those of wheat and even pre-built shells pizas a quick pizza can be made on. What is a treatment that would be if you gave him some.
You should have a Celiac Society http://www.enabling.org/ia/celiac/groups ...
in your area, they should be able to help you in this quest. Much luck.
Slainte (your health) and your brother

I do not know of any restaurants that meet the particular celiac. But in my experience, many vegetarian restaurants seem to be sensitive to their needs and label items that are gluten free.
