Is eating beef jerky / beef sticks bad for you or healthy? I eat lots of beef jerky / sticks because I love em and I get either constipated or tracks. What to do????
Jerky is naturally because it was back in the Wild West is a very low-fat foods rich in protein. However, most people these days are loaded with artificial ingredients and preservatives that are unhealthy. For example, sodium nitrite and artificial smoke flavoring was to show a carcinogen when used in combination.

commercially processed jerky probably too much sodium. dried venison homemade is much better. you control the ingredients in this way. sound is dried raw meat? its been eaten for thousands of years. ive never heard a complaint. good source of protein. Low fat. and tasty to boot!
