Was the EU right to laugh at our standards of beef production, if so, why? I worked on a kill floor --- It's been a while but my job was to drive the cattle off of trucks putting them in pens and move the pen in the pen until that they reach the end "line"
The European Union was considering filing a ban on imports of Canadian beef and they sent their inspectors to the production of Canadian meat
The owner told us not to smoke on the line that day --- Please Stewart Shop has decided to implement it in the hope of the company could get the contract EU uncommon for Canadian beef
Inspectors laughed their you know what to get what they called standards pre industrial revolution and the remains of 18th century
It is not good - they were not impressed by what we do
Chinese inspectors on the other hand seemed pretty impressed and had taken the trouble to ban smoking on the line when they showed up as quality inspectors of meat from China to report to their government
--- --- The awarded this contract and said when they have to turn everything they liked the management will be around soon --- The European Union, they leaned back for the Chinese have been highlighted dispensers and bathroom has been the security
If the EU inspectors the right to laugh at us?
Are we using an archaic system century 18?
Should we consider the standards of the EU instead of just to impress the Chinese?
Yes do not think this is that smoking and clean although it is important. If I am not misinformed Canada and the United States can also always "hormonal treatments in their beef production. Here, the mafia is in this kind of thing. Seriously not healthy, Pure Poison. Yet they, the United States and Canada try to impose ourselves on behalf of the holy and glorious "free trade".
I reject the freedom of being poisoned for profit companies
Interesting. Thank you Report Abuse
Yes, for the most part.
Remember the mad cow crisis in the United Kingdom and parts of Europe in the 80s and 90s? It can lead to CJD in humans. They discovered that the source of it was the use of rendered animal protein in the mass-produced food for ruminants. The EU (and most other meat producing countries) was then banned the use of animal protein in most foods for ruminants. The problem has been largely erased by this measure alone.
The United States and Canada remain the only major beef producing countries that can be used for animal protein in ruminant feed. They set up the monitoring of standards to try to catch cattle slaughtered, but they have not been applied correctly. We all remember the video clips of tranquillizers be lead to slaughter last year which resulted in the restoration of the ban on Canadian beef products and U.S. are only beginning to be raised by some countries.
The problem of BSE in cattle and CJD in humans is that it is transmitted by a protein, not a virus or bacteria. This protein can not be adequately destroyed by cooking. In fact, you can cut a piece of meat contaminated with charcoal and it will always be present. You literally have to be destroyed to get rid of the protein that causes BSE and CJD.
All I know is that breast is quite tasty BBQ! I prefer to eat wild game or beef fed grass but I think our beef is safe. I do not hear many people die because of it. Maybe goats must be consumed over the United States?
These are the things I do not like about the production of North American beef.
1. Food dead, ground up cattle for cattle. I do not know if this still happens.
