What can I do what I think is a fair bill ($ 645 bill) in a restaurant in Saint Valentine? Valentine 08 '
Restaurant Baleen in Grove Isle - Miami, FL
-Reservations one month in advance ... called by an employee of the restaurant a week later, asking 50.00 deposit by credit card for reservation ... course ... seems normal.
Dinner 2. Good night, Bill comes ... $ 645.01 (Mind you, not a single alcoholic drink has been drunk ... in fact, we had only water). It was a 4 course meal prepared positions (which were not even all that great to be honest with you), no wine.
Service was terrible, not only brought our food before we were done with the apatizer, but we saw our server about 3 times during the Spand of 3:30. The last hour, of course, spent waiting for him to bring me the bill. The boy also managed to add a gratuity of 20% to our bill. 250 + 250 = 500 = 600 + 20% tax 45 = 645.01.
-Generally, my problem is that when I called and made reservations, I never talked about a $ 250 per person tab for sitting outside, otherwise I would not complain.
Talk to a lawyer and see what are the chances you have. I agree with you. Unfortunately you need to prove they have not managed to find out about prices and all. I do not know if you have a good chance of winning the battle, but the worst is that you fail to do, so go on. I sincerely hope you win. Good luck!
Edit:
My friend, I'm confused, first ask yourself what you can do and now you say something to make me something that you do not want your money? So what do you want? A sort of apology from the restaurant manager? If yes, then go ask them directly. Good luck again
oh no I despute total because if you do agree with what you pay then you should not pay and it seems a little fishy how they asked you for a deposit of one week after you should definitely talk to someone
I hope you used a credit card ... Call your credit card company ASAP
Definitely speak to a manager and continue further up the chain until you talk to someone who will help you solve your problem. I hope your day was well worth it!
I have a BIIIG deal with this!
you have been deceived!
That's what I'd do:
First, try to remain calm
* Go speak to the manager of the restaurant employees, people I know who have visited the site, read their website .. etc..
* Make a case BIIIIIIG
in my country we have something like a consumer complaint department. (PROFECO), you can file a complaint .. find it online for U.S..
* Go to your local news station and let them know!
* Got your station log too
This may seem like embarasing to do, but hey its ur money and fight for it ...
that's probably why they did it to U first ... because they know that you will embarased to make a big deal having to pay a bill and you have to pay him anyway ... and I think thats what happened.
but hey if nothing else works
do so on your own ....
TELL everyone you know about this restaurant BLADE, U TELL everybody saw mice and a hair SOPE UR ... etc.
GOOD LUCK, LET U.S. know how it went.

Wow this sounds crazy amount of money to pay for a meal. This is about £ 300! Def would not pay £ 150 per person for a 4-course meal! How would you threaten to take your story to a local journalist, it might scare them because it would harm their reputation. Do not go back and make sure they take you seriously. annoys them as much as possible and they will eventually recede. Call them, write them, send them an email. Lifting a formal complaint with the manager. Just do not leave them with impunity.
The menu for Valentine's Day was "Fix Price", or fixed price. Restaurants are often busy night. Meals.
